Really tough to apply this stuff perfectly, I tried and failed twice, but when you get the hang of it the material functions well enough.

Love It

Easy to apply and does the job brilliantly. I hate net curtains and love this stuff as I've used it previously in other homes I've own. I have a lot of guests that ask me about it.

Great

So definitely buy more than you need so you can practise, when I first tried this I got so annoyed thinking it was terrible and used a few choice words but then I tried on a small window and really wet it with a bit of soap and it was amazing no more nosey neighbours

Excellent, with clear instructions.

I managed to fit this to two windows, each 990m x 540mm, by myself with no problems, other than that created by me! I had been cleaning the windows first with an ammonia window cleaning spray and got my sprays mixed up and used this again to fit the film, instead of using the recommended water and washing up liquid combination. As a result there are smears beneath the first one I fitted. The second one looks perfect, thanks to using the correct spray!

You will need a straight edge (metre stick) and Stanley knife or similar for cutting, and a tool for holding Stanley blades open, for scraping the window clean, as well as a window squeegee blade. I found that it helped to use a small piece of electrical tape on each top corner when peeling the protective film, and also when fitting the reflective film at first. The hardest part for me was turning the film around once the protective layer had been peeled off. I managed, but for a large sheet it's probably best to have two people.

Excellent product

Excellent product and service, easy to apply with two people. Not had any problems with the film peeling off the windows. Gives the privacy we wanted in the kitchen.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great product, if you have the patience. Good light blocking.

The blackout quality of this product is really good. The only reason I cannot give it 5 stars is that if, like me, you have the patience & finesse of a toddler, you might also end up with something wrinkly stuck on your window which you will eventually have to replace. If I had found it easier to apply, which you might if you have the knack, it would've been a surefire 5 star.

5.0 out of 5 starsPerfect and good value for money, transformed our door

I wanted some frosted film for our front door that still let some light in. This was perfect, all I would say is get everything prepared and ready before you start. Make sure the window is clean and the area you are working in is clean. We put a sheet down and measured and cut on that. We did it as 2 people, it could be done with 1 but just faster. Be as methodical as you can with the film and it goes on fine, we put ours up in Dec 2014 and it has stuck lovely and looks really good.

not bad

very easy to fit (shed windows), you can still see through slightly from outside but from a distance looks like a mirror. takes a couple of weeks to dry.

It will be nice if you strictly follow the steps.

It will be a really good choice if you want to have a private and mirror effect on you window. However, I do want to highlight some points as I didn't seen them covered in the reviews.

1. It will not transfer your window into a real mirror - people can peak through if a) they stay close enough, b) it's brighter inside -i.e. have light on in the evening.

2. It is not an simple process to put the films on. All the steps are easy, but there are many steps and you need to follow the instruction strictly - it's best to watch Youtube first.

3. It is very very dust-sensitive so any spot will be highlighted.

The first piece I put on was not very good but the rest were near perfect so I would suggest you cut a small piece and practice first.

This does the job nicely of stopping nosey people on the street gawping into

This does the job nicely of stopping nosey people on the street gawping into your windows and you can still see out of them. It does make the room a bit darker but it's on a sought facing window so hopefully won't block too much light and sun.
It is quite a task to apply the film but if you prepare it all first it is Ok. It's fiddly removing the protective film. I used a craft knife to trim of the excess and a shower squeegee to remove bubbles and any extra water. Very pleased with the product.
