Very pleased with this product. Checked it from outside too and good mirror effect.

I'm first floor flat - neighbours cut down a tree and can see right in from the end of their garden to where I sit and work. I felt really exposed.

Will be getting some more for the other windows.

Might be worth mentioning I have quite severe mobility issues but managed the whole cutting/fitting process myself - that's how simple it is!

Great black out product, easy to install in minutes, looks good when finished and should remain in place. The film is quite thick so difficult for a first timer to even crease and bubble.

First time using this type of product and overall very satisfied. DIY fitted to conservatory with primary aim to reduce heat on hot days. There are still a few small bubbles here an there, but you have to go out of your way to look for them. Has made a big difference to temperature. This is what my experience is. Our conservatory has roof insulation fitted. Last year, the inside temp would be similar to the outside temp + approx 15C with windows open. This year with added film I saw on a 28C day, the internal temp was max 30C. I have nothing else to compare to, but I'm reasonably satisfied with the difference. I bought this as it was at the lower end of the price range. Perhaps other products would reduce temp even more? Or even fitting externally. It took me around half a day to measure, cut, fit 9 large 'person height' windows and 7 smaller windows . I spread the work over 2 sessions though and I was quite thorough about doing a proper job.

To my surprise the film is very sticky, but if I followed instructions closely and watched a few youtube videos and got the hang of it straight away. The trick is to clean windows very thoroughly and spray lots of water on to the window as well as on the sticky part of the film (after peeling of the backing) before applying. This allows the sheet to move and crucially to push the bubbles out. Spraying on the surface when smoothing out is also essential. I recommend buying the starter kit with the squeegee, various smoothing and scraping tools as well as a spray bottle. It saved me a lot of time and messing about locating the right tools and I was able to get on with the job straight away.

Order placed for one of our three-pane windows to test the product, which we are very happy with. Unfortunately, we ordered some tools to aid with the fitting of the film. When we came to do the work we discovered that one of the tools ordered had not been supplied.

We approached a local company who kindly loaned us a replacement tool.

easy yo apply looks like venitian blinds no need to pull my bind down as no one can see in an it blocks a view i didnt like.

Bought this for a my sister-in-law as she lives in a ground floor flat. She had to have the blinds closed constantly as the pavement was right there and people would stare in. I installed it myself, please get in the recommended kit to do so though! I can confirm that you cannot see in, even if you stand right up close, even a little bit of sun means that you just get a reflection. Having waved at passers-by from the inside I can confirm they cannot see in either. When writing this review I've just purchased a roll for some of our windows. Very happy with the product. Installation is straightforward it you are prepared.

I bought this to use on our French doors in the front room, the room is on the middle floor and looks over a kids football field so we wanted privacy. Ot certainly provides that as well as reduces glare and heat in the room. Once I found the YouTube video it was really easy to apply and I've already ordered more for other windows.

A wonderful product here, I bought this for the front of my house to stop my nosey neighbour across the rd from constantly filming into my living room & bedrooms with his security camera. The camera hasn’t once turned toward my house since I’ve put it up.

It’s really easy to use & fit, even for someone with limited DIY skills.

I will be buying more of this for the back of our house! Fantastic!

Ordered a small roll as a trial to use on our smallest window. Having tried two other brands before and still being able to see through the window from the outside we were hesitant to order a larger quantity. As soon as we opened the package we knew this was a superior product. I did find it a little more difficult to apply but maybe because the window is small. Have now ordered for all our south facing windows so we can enjoy the view in the garden without disturbing the birds and hopefully will ease the effect of the sun.

I've used this product for some windows at work.. the results were really good so have now done both my front and back windows at home..

Very Happy with product - easy to install

Only thing I will say is they are not exactly like the pictures would suggest - the pictures look like the tints create a complete mirror like reflection. This product does achieve some what of a mirror like reflection (maybe like 80% mirror), but I can still see through closer up and at certain angles.

Even still though, transforms normal windows and will no doubt come in handy in the hot summer months :)

I have used this film on the inside of my conservatory roof, I have got a clear glass roof on the conservatory and was sick of the nosy neighbours from next door always looking in at us.

It was quite difficult to put up, but that is only down to installing in the roof.

The film looks great, complete privacy without loosing natural light.

One tip is not to let the film crease, once this happens it leaves a white line that will not come out.

Arrived quickly, Easy to install, looks great and blocks out all light. Very impressed. I have used window films before but nothing compares to this one.

I found this very easy to work with and the pattern is perfect, i did the small kitchen window to start to see how easily it would be to use, now i have ordered for my patio doors, excellent film and the cheapest and best quality ive found, i did originally do my patio doors with film off E-Bay, and will be replacing with this new film. 100% better finish and quality film. A+++++

Easy to apply when you have done at least one. Bought a little more as I wasn't certain on how easy it would be and it was a wise decision as I had to bin the first sheet I used.
If you have big window, it is a 2 person job as you want the film to stay flat when you peel the backing paper
I would recommend this product to people who need privacy and don't want to lose light. It is a very cheap option compared to blinds or shutters!

Great idea , only ordered 1 metre X 50cm piece for a quarter window on my car , the sheet I got has got quite a few little defects which I solid like pinheads , so even though I got rid of bubbles I'm left with these little defects .

I bought this for our kitchen window which in full sunshine from midday on and I can say the transformation has been dramatic. I think it has probably cut a good 70% of the heat transfer through the window making the kitchen bearable again. A great buy.

I live on the top floor of the building and have got most my windows from the sunny side from the sunrise till about 3pm each day. This means for the last few years since I have moved here I could barely function when the weather was beautiful and I was staying at home. Also coming back home to a steaming hot flat was not ideal. Last year during lockdown I nearly suffocated from the heat.. and since then I was looking for a solution to my problem. Moving would be perfect but since I did not win the Lottery yet.. I came across this website and have decided to risk it for the biscuit and see if it works. I can tell you I dreaded the thought of another lockdown being stuck here on hot days. I bought this product and placed it on all my windows just before the sunny days arrived and I can tell you all it was worth it! I no longer feel like in a sauna and I can actually function properly as a human being when it’s hot outside as it’s now warm inside. Not hot! I keep my windows closed until the sun moves to the other side of the building and when I touch my closed windows they are really hot. Innside the flat however I can feel warm but not near as boiling hot as I normally would. I cannot recommend it enough! It made a huge difference to my life and I would definitely buy it again. Thank you for making my life better.

We are extremely pleased with the frosted window glass film supplied by Active Window Films. The instructions were clear and the installation was simple. The end-result was very attractive. (It's virtually impossible to tell that the effect is provided by a film and not by frosted glass.) The price was very competitive. Delivery was very quick. Finally, the customer service helpline was very responsive and helpful.
