Fantastic service, delivery arrived so quickly, well packaged and the window film is a great product. Ive ordered some more as we needed it for our office windows.

Swift and quality service. My film arrived earlier than I thought and was well packaged. When I emailed a question I received a fast and helpful response that answered my questions twice with options. An all round quality service and one I have already discussed with a colleague who enquired about the product.

Easy to install, great results if you follow the instructions.
VERY important to thoroughly clean the window including frame and surrounding areas. Give a deep clean of the silicone cord around the glass to avoid little pieces of dirt to "crawl" under the film with the soapy water.
I recommend to do the installation on bright day light to be able to see all the posible defects and fix them.
Don't panic: if little pieces of dust or particles get under the film in some areas you can keep partially lifting the film and removing them as fas as you keep spraying soapy water (don't know for how many times but I was successful at least five or six!)

Love this! Got if for privacy as playroom is at front of house but still wanted to let light in. Once you get going it's very easy to apply on your own. A YouTube video is available on the website to show you exactly how to do it! First class!

This is the second time I have used Active Window Films. First time was for double glazed windows, rather expensive film that had to be fitted to the outer glass. This time it was single glazing, half the price and all done from the inside. Had to remind myself by watching the video, checking my notes and using lots of slip (water) and of course the correct tools supplied by Active Window Films. It is so good! The only tip I can give is order more than you need, this time I found I couldn't cut straight and only just made it having allowed myself an extra metre! We have had a very hot summer, so far, in Surrey so it took nearly three weeks before I could actually start my task. It shades our utility room a little but it works, the mirror effect has reduced the temperature to what it was. The package arrived quickly and was well packed, thank you.

Easy to put up and very effective

I used this on the back of my new fish tank to black out the rear panel so you cant see the cables and pipes.
Easy to fit following instructions on the video, great product. Very pleased with end result.

Can't believe this is now the second summer since I put this on all the sun lounge windows. I had been a little worried that it might be difficult but I managed with only one mishap, one of the long panels came away from the top of the window as I was adjusting the sides lower down - these are ground to ceiling panels - so picked up a bit of grit from the patio (too much soapy water). I was devastated but quickly turned it upside down with the gritty bit at the bottom, which meant it didn't show too much. Really thrilled with the results and I am now ordering for the Utility Room. Thank you Martha for all the help you gave me over the phone last time, making it really easy and sorry I didn't write my review sooner. Only one downside, I can't see the clock in the sun lounge whilst I'm in the garden - you really can't see through this film!!!

I really like this product and having watched the instruction video on YouTube found it surprisingly easy to fit. My only reason for not giving it five stars is that you really need to highlight the direction of the bars (horizontal or vertical) on the roll. I assumed they would go horizontally across the 'width', as that is how they appear on the image. However, I was wrong. In fact they go along the 'length of the roll. I've just had another look at the description page and I cannot find any mention of this. It needs spelling out. Having ordered the correct size I had to have my lines vertical on the window rather than horizontal which was not the effect I was looking for.

I have a long clear window (approx. 2 metres x ½ metre) adjacent to my front door. Anyone standing at the door (or even walking past) had a clear view into my entrance hall. I decided that the bronze one-way mirror glass would be the solution. The product arrived very quickly and it was fairly easy for a novice to understand the application process with the help of the video. (One more helpful addition would be if the backing film had included grid-lines for ease of cutting a straight line on a long strip.) I was very impressed with the result - except that I quickly realised that the amount of daylight excluded by the film meant that my hallway was significantly dimmed. I decided to improve this by carefully removing a 40 cm strip of the film at the top and bottom of the window so that I would still have a privacy strip, but more light would enter the hallway for the benefit of the plants there. It was a bit fiddly to remove the residual glue but I used a sticker remover and am pleased with the result. Users should heed the company's warning that after dusk the effect of the mirror film is reversed and the window becomes a mirror on the inside - which can be useful as long as the resident appreciates that when you see the mirror side anyone on the other side sees you. (I had purchased sufficient additional mirror film to cover a long kitchen window but have decided that the amount of light cut out by the film would probably mean I would have to have the kitchen lights switched on during the daytime - reversing the privacy objective.)

Did just what it promised on the website. We installed it onto 3 Windows on the 23rd December to make our temporary downstairs loo useable for Christmas! No problems and a perfect result.

I made sure I watched the video and followed the instructions. I completed one window and am pleased with the result. I did not need to trim the width of the film and was unfortunately left with a half inch gap! I'm just about to purchase 2 more rolls. By the way, the instructions tell you not to handle the film before you read them... In my case the instructions were inside the film so I had to handle it before reading the instructions! Thanks for a good product Active Window.

When I ordered it was a bit of a gamble as I wasn’t sure how it would look. But for the price I didn’t mind getting it wrong. I wanted some privacy in my front room but still wanted it to be light. I chose to create a 1.5” gap around the edges. I was pretty nervous trimming and doing it on my own but followed the steps in the video, making sure it was really wet, which seemed to do the trick. I did however find a few pesky paint splashes even after washing and scraping my window about 3x. So really make sure you check this! Luckily they don’t show up or cause any problems. Lining the film up exactly was a bit tricky. I drew marks on the window but of course they disappeared with all the liquid but managed in the end. I really like it with the gap. I think fully covering it would be a little too much for what I wanted as although it lets light through it’s quite opaque.

Easy to fit. Excellent fitting instructions. The added privacy exceeded expectations. If anthing our room looks brighter and smarter with the film in place than it did without it. Easy to see out, but very difficult for people to see in. Has the effect of looking a little like a white venetian blind. Extremely good value for money.

Excellent product, I am very poorly skilled at anything DIY, having put up frosted windows in the past and made a pigs-ear of it, I phoned and spoke to Sam who was extremely helpful and addressed my concerns, I followed the instructions on the online video and now I have perfect frosted windows in my bathroom. It didn't take anywhere near as long as I thought it would. Very quick despatch and very wrapped. Thank you. Very happy customer.

Really good service, price and product.Product arrived quickly, good communication en route, and I didn't find it too tricky to cut to size and install and it works a treat and looks good. Very pleased overall.

i purchased 10 of these tiles a week ago arrived within 2 days then ordered more the effect and quality of this item is amazing easy to apply and looks top quality from close and a distance you wouldnt even know they were basically a sticker. very happy and highly recommend

Paid for 1-2 day delivery..came within the time. I watched the video and read the reviews before applying the film. Bought to used in my conservatory. Went up really well.. alot easier the I expected.
TOP TIP... YOU CAN'T USE TOO MUCH WATER.. THE MORE THE BETTER..

My order arrived in 3 days, so hats off to Royal Mail. Neatly packaged in reinforced cardboard box. Instruction sheet did take a couple of reads, plus another viewing of the website video. However, despite slight trepidation about cutting the sizes I needed, all went well. My new garden workshop, with six 2 foot square windows, now is more secure with the contents less exposed.
